this song has inspired me and what i would like our music video to be like. It is a song specifically made for the new Hobbit movie, the desolation of smaug. I really adore the idea of the two stories going on at once, the non-fictional, showing the recording of the song and them celebrating, also ed sheeran in his home home. I especially like the shot where it shows him playing and the video is worse quality and then it shows the reason why this is, and the girl recording it from her phone and we see it from her point of view. I like the fictional story that is being told throughout. It shows the middle-earth and the whole story that comes with it and then the shots return to reality as well.
I believe the use of the fictional story, as well as the artist performing live is very effective and is something that I have saw in many of the indie videos that I have studied during research. When making the storyboards I believe that the idea of the live performance as well as the fictional story should be included as it is central to following the codes and conventions of the indie genre.
